- 8 oz whole wheat penne
- 8 oz Italian sausage
- 6 cups kale
- (1) 14 oz can fire roasted diced tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups water
- In one pot, put whole wheat penne, italian sausage, kale, fire roasted diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, pesto, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, salt, and water.
- Stir together and bring to boil.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring frequently
- Grate some Parmesan cheese on top for added flavor.
